The Royal Gardens at Highgrove is set within the village of Doughton, Gloucestershire, southwest of Tetbury. In order for you to get the most out of your visit, we advise that you plan how to get here ahead of your tour and arrive within plenty of time. It is easiest to get to Highgrove by car but coaches are recommended for group tours.
For Sat Nav, please use postcode GL8 8TQ, which will take you to the concealed entrance for The Royal Gardens at Highgrove. Do not go into Street Farm Workshops. Instead keep left on the narrow walled lane and stop after 100 metres at the police checkpoint for identification and vehicle checks. Please have your identity documents and tickets to hand at this stage.

Take the A433 towards Tetbury, passing the Westonbirt Arboretum and “Hare and Hounds” Hotel on the left. On nearing Doughton, pass a “concealed entrance” sign on the left-hand side. Immediately after the 30 mph speed restriction sign take the next small entrance on the left.
From the centre of Tetbury turn southwards onto the A433 signed to Bath and Westonbirt (pass Tetbury Parish Church on your left and follow the road over a viaduct). After two miles you will enter the village of Doughton. Continue past the iron gates leading into Highgrove House (on your right) to where the high walls finish. Turn right into the small entrance just before the 30mph speed restriction ends.
There is no public transport from Tetbury town centre to the Highgrove Estate. It is just over one and a half miles from Tetbury to Highgrove and there is no public footpath. Further details on public transport and planning your journey can be found at Traveline.
